My 10-12 gpa is a 3.3. I recieved a 2000 on the sat as well. I am a San Diego resident and was wondering what my chances are of getting into SDSU.
3.3
2000 SAT
Basketball
A LOT of community service
Buisness experience (worked for a company)
Great ESSAY with Great story.
I also improved a lot junior year from sophomore year. Either political science or Buisness is what I will be majoring in!
Also LOR from college professor
What is your SAT breakdown? SDSU does not accept LOR’s and essays. Is your 3.3 GPA your CSU GPA?
SDSU acceptances are all about the numbers. They calculate an eligibility index (CSU GPA x800) + (SAT Math+CR).
They rank each applicant based on major and EI. They then accept from the highest EI down until all spots are filled. Calculate your EI and if you around 4100+ you stand a good chance at an acceptance. Much will depend on the competitiveness of this year’s applicant pool and the number of applications received for each major.
Is that 4100 score based on the new sat or old sat
I have a 4650 based on old SAT
4065*
Political science major
Does it help that I am a San Diego resident
It should help that you are an SD resident since Cal states give priority to local in-service applicants. I think you stand a decent chance at an acceptance. Your GPA is below average but your higher than average SAT score helps your chances. Good Luck.
I think your residency will give you an advantage. If you are from TP, I would guess that your chance would be even better!
Does it help that my cousin is a professor there
No, CSU admission is done by computer formulas (SAT, GPA, major, and your address).
