Hello there!
I am currently a junior in high school and am curious about my chances of getting into the following schools. Here is a little about me first:
I attend a very rigorous Catholic high school in Michigan
I have a 3.55 gpa
I have not taken any honors or AP classes (my school does not offer honors and have very few AP’s, however, I am taking AP Spanish next year)
I have a 28 ACT (taking it again in June and hoping for around a 30)
I have over 200 service hours
Part of National Honor Society at my school
Have had a job for the past two years
Varsity swimmer for all of high school
A lot of the schools I want to go to are either private or extremely expensive for out of state so I would need scholarships to go to all of them except MSU. I am totally a city girl so I am looking for a more mid-size, urban school (preferably with a football team) and also somewhere warm.
Also, I am looking to major in something medical as I want to be a PA, either public health or something along those lines.
Tulane- my absolute dream school. I visited in March and completely fell in love. I know the ACT needed is a 29-31 and I’m hoping for a 30 for above. Do they offer generous scholarships? I hope so, as this is my #1!
Boston University- I am totally a city girl and love the atmosphere in Boston
MSU- I think I could get in here with my scores now, but I would prefer to go out of state
Marquette- has a really awesome PA program
Univ of Dayton- everyone I know who goes there loves it
Miami of Ohio- super pretty campus, toured a few months ago and know a lot of people who go there
SMU- heard it’s a beautiful campus and sounds like an awesome school
Univ of Alabama- my brother goes there on a full ride and loves it, lots of kids from MI going there recently, however I am not a fan of the surrounding city
Belmont- once again, love the big city vibe, toured last year
Univ of Georgia- have lots of family in Georgia, am touring this summer
Pepperdine- kind of random but I absolutely love California and am thinking of applying just to see what happens.
