Will I get into Georgia Tech???

I am a female high school senior. My standardized testing scores aren’t the greatest, which is why I am so stressed out about my chances for Tech. I don’t know why, but I am awful with standardized tests, and I have tried multiple books and tutoring companies…there is just no hope in that area. However, I know that colleges SAY that testing scores are not everything…here are my stats:

GPA: 4.13
ACT: 26
SAT: 1700
Extracurricular: DECA - competed multiple years and went to leadership seminars. Elementary mentoring program. Community Service clubs. Leader for the past two years of a student led club at my school. Many honors society. Ambassador Program. Student Council.

I am planning on majoring into computer science. I have heard that not many girls enter that field, but I don’t know. Times are changing and woman are doing a lot more things that they did not do in the past. I will be applying regular decision. Thank you for your input! This really helps me out!

Im just another high school senior but i think it could go either way for you. GT is already above 60% men so its not just your major. The school admits 1/3 of the people who apply for regular decision.

Your GPA seems very strong at 4.13. You have a solid history of extracurriulars and it will definitely help. However, your test scores will be a problem. GT average SAT scores are from
SAT read 630-720
SAT math 680-770
SAT written 630-730
ACT comp 30-33

And choosing computer science will probable make in much more difficult to get admitted. Im assuming that the test score averages for computer science are higher than the other majors at GT. I know how it feels to take the SAT multiple times and still score below what i want. I have a 1680 SAT and I just chose to quit trying after that. If you choose to stop testing, then maybe that application essay is what you have to focus on.
