Will I get into these schools? What are my chances?

I’m currently a second semester junior. I do the full IB diploma program and was predicted a 41. My overall predicted high school gpa is an unweighted 3.6, and a weighted 3.78. My best SAT score is a 2350 and I made a 34 on the ACT. I managed to make a 750 on SAT Bio and a 780 on SAT Math 1. I am the Director-General of my school’s Model United Nations Conference, run my own literary magazine, tutor a 5th grader in math, sing classical indian carnatic music, report and write for the school newspaper, and am an active participant for the school science council. I’m a really well versed writer and orator, and plan to start working on my essay now. I’ve also been a member of student council for three years, and have played on the varsity soccer team once. I went to the Ivy Scholars Program last summer, and was admitted to Harvard, Stanford, and Yale’s Summer Sessions for this summer along with the Ivy Scholars Program’s Grand Strategy. I plan to attend Grand Strategy and Yale Summer Session if my financial aid request is approved. Otherwise, I will be travelling and studying at Harvard. My teachers also love me, and will give me strong recommendations. I am in the top 25% of my class.

What are my chances of getting into the following schools which I am applying to in the fall?

Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Brown, Princeton, UPenn, Cornell, UChicago, Northwestern, Tufts, NYU, Johns Hopkins, Boston University, Rutgers, Berekely, Georgetown, Duke, and Carnegie-Mellon.

I’m a nervous wreck right now, worried about my chances of getting into college. I’m really scared that no one will accept me. I really need your advice!

Unless you attend an elite private school sending 30% plus to ivies, your rank will make them extremely difficult.

^Seconded. Your GPA/rank are too low if you go to a “regular” school.

You will definitely be good at Rutgers and most likely BU.

Decent chances at NYU, CMU and Tufts.

I think you will get into BU and Rutgers

I attend a really good private school, which out of a graduating class of 30 students, 20 attend top universities. I had made a mistake in my rank, i’m number four in the class, which mathematically puts me in the top 13%.

And I don’t live in the states. Although American, I go to an International School, which is an elite school reputed within the states, and has one of the toughest International Baccalaureate programs in the world. Our predicted valedictorian, one of the most studious people I know, only has a GPA of 3.8. And our weightage is only 0.33 for our IB classes. The whole diploma program is six classes, plus the extended essay, and CAS.
I hope the above information helps.

Does your school use Naviance? Your best advice will come from your school itself, which knows what it has taken to get in for their students. Small privates are very hard to assess from the outside. Hopefully, your school doesn’t officially rNk as top colleges take very few ranked students who were not top 10%.
