Will I get into top-tier universities?

Such as Ivies, Duke, JHU, etc.

4.0 unweighted gpa
2300 SAT
35 ACT

APs (all 5): Biology, Chemistry, European History, US History, BC Calc, Psychology.

Senior year sched: AP Physics C, Multivar Calc, Organic Chem, AP English, AP Gov, H Spanish IV

Extracurriculars: 3 years research experience at cancer lab, published data in journals, wrote papers, science fairs. hosp volunteering, 4 years quiz bowl and science olympiad, varsity soccer. but no officer/captain positions in any (blechh, ikk)

no hooks

thanks!

Most likely acceptance at Duke and Johns Hopkins.

If you are White or Asian, you will get into Duke or Johns Hopkins as rOadTo3b said above, but also probably the low-tier Ivies like Cornell and Columbia too.

If you are Mexican, Black, or any other race that is not of White or Asian descent, you will get into all of them.

I don’t see why not, you’re practically the perfect student/child. Of course, with admission to most Ivies being a total crapshoot (even among qualified candidates), don’t assume that you will definitely get in…

I think its safe to assume though that you’ll be accepted to Duke and John Hopkins.

Truffliepuff, what makes you think Columbia is a low tier Ivy?

Q: Will I get into top-tier universities?

A: Yes.

If you want to chance me back…

“My” chance thread:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/974587-chance-guy-who-shooting-ucs-csus.html

Apparently a “low tier Ivy” is one with an acceptance rate higher than 8%, e.g., Columbia (which is at 9%).

^haha wow, that makes Columbia such a low tier Ivy League school. not.

how was 4 yrs in science olympiad?
