So business and engineering are vastly different - if you’re unsure, you should start engineering…it will be much easier to transfer over than vice versa.
Now, you won’t be applying to business to UNCCH - because their b school doesn’t start until Junior year and it’s another competitive application - so it’s one thing to get into UNC, but then it’s another to get into Kenan Flagler.
btw - your terrible 1350 is above the 90th percentile - so “terribly” is not the word I would use to describle it.
It is a bit low for UNC but within the 25% range (your test). Here is good info on rank and test - go to that section if it doesn’t open - called Rank and Exams
But this is a reasonable strategy - UNC, NC State, and UNCC - but only if UNCC is a school that you’d be happy to attend. What isn’t reaonsable to me - is to apply to one as engineering and the other with a business intention.
btw - with your stats, there are OOS schools you can go to for as cheap as an instate - and maybe cheaper - so you’d have those options too if interested.
