Will I get money from all SUNY schools?

I will prolly be getting a free ride from SUNY Plattsburgh(Just need to score a bit better on my SAT), but not from the other SUNY schools.(I haven’t gotten any scholarships from the other colleges I applied to).
What I am asking is this:Is the scholarship money good at all SUNY schools? If not, is there a way to bargin to get some scholarship money? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

From what I have seen, the SUNY schools work independently from each oher in the area of scholarship awards. Binghamton, for example, gives very little in merit money, whereas Buffalo has a number of automatic awards. So any money you get from the SUNY that is their money, not state or federal money, is not transferable. Your Pell, Stafford loan, TAP funds will be the same throughout the processs because the schools are not giving out the money. It comes from the govt.

As to bargaining, you can try, as you can with any school. If you are a “hot” number at those colleges, you can ask if there is not a little more they come up with, especially if you have a SUNY already giving money. No guarantee of success, however. There is no guarantee of any negotiation working. You just try your best and hope.

Merit awards are specific to the individual SUNY and some are associated with specific departments or programs. My D got an award worth more than tuition and fees at SB and nothing from Binghamton or Geneseo.
