Will i get rejected if. . .

I exceed the word limit by a couple of hundred words? . . . Due to the bad internet connection in Egypt, I was unable to upload a compressed version of an essay. What should I do?

They could get annoyed.

They would probably get annoyed. A couple hundred words over is a lot, considering the word limit is often ~500 words.

keep it within the word limit and you wont have any problem for sure

no you wont i wrote a long Chicago essay and got admitted

Chicago doesn’t have a word limit…

What do you guys think I should do??. . . Should I tell them that I was unable to upload a compressed essay?

Forget it. There’s nothing you can do about it now, and apologizing will just draw attention to it. If it’s an excellent essay, the length won’t matter.

then again. i mean theres a word limit for reason. i dnt understand how ppl can not respect it.

i mean that just shows right there the applicant isnt capable of following basic instructions.

thats my take on it. then again as Northstarmom said, if ur the next twain, then i guess word limits dont need to be respected.
