Will I get rescinded if my IB Exam scores are too low

I don’t see anything regarding IB Exam scores listed in my conditions of admissions, but during my exams I was dealing with my parent’s sudden medical condition so I couldn’t revise that well. I’m worried that I might score low on some of the SL subjects I took (probably getting 4s on two SL subjects that was predicted a 7 and a 5), especially with the exam leak heightening the graded boundaries.

Will I be rescinded for this? What are some procedures I can take to prevent myself from being rescinded?

Unless your acceptable was conditioned on your receiving a certain score, no.

Conditional acceptances are more common when applying to a foreign college (not your case) or for foreign students. But they are explicitly stated.

Actually all UC Berkeley acceptances are conditional.

However, I don’t think achieving specific test scores are among the conditions. You should double check your acceptance letter. Your conditions will be listed there.

Usually any score below 30 and no individual score below 4 would be cause for concern. I would prepare an explanation of the lower scores just in case and contact UCB’s admissions to clarify your conditions of admission.

Yes, in this regard, most are. I should have been clearer and said “conditioned on achievement of a specific IB score.”

I have known American students who had issues with foreign unis by missing a score by a point.

Most American universities say they expect US students to complete senior year with the same level of achievement but they won’t rescind if your GPA drops by a point. Maybe the UCs are more specific? Or maybe OP is international, in which case, they may have been specific about the IB score as it is effectively your high school transcript.

They are specific about no letter grade below a C and no more than two Cs (if my memory is correct). I do not recall any conditions related to test scores, but that may vary (my daughter was not IB so there may be conditions related to that - the OP needs to read the acceptance letter to find out).
