will I get revoked?

I got in with a 3.2 GPA, 34 ACT.

First semester senior year I got all A’s and two B’s.
This semester I think i’ll have all A’s and B’s with one D.

I’m taking a rigorous courseload with 4 AP’s and then a personal fitness class.

Think i’ll get revoked? I’m really worried…

They will send you a letter/email about halfway through the summer asking you to explain the D. After receiving the explanations, about 10% of the kids who got the email will get revoked, and half of those are because they didn’t respond. PM me if you have any questions.

you probably should hope that your school sends year grades instead of semester grades

What is the D in? If its in a nonacademic class, it probably won’t even matter (right?)

ooo i heard about that sending the letter thing. Is it the same if you get an F in a academic

what do u mean year grades?

Schools can release two different types of grades, mine shows both on the transcript

It can be 2 semester grades, seperate

OR

It can be your average grades between the 2 semesters, and your final grade

Mine shows the 2 semester grades, with my Finals grade, and then my final year grade

don’t you mean two “marking period” grades and the final, which then make up your semester grade. because what if your classes change, they can’t do year grades then

What my transcript used to do was just add another thing for classes below and then do something to figure out year grades

Dont you guys think that Convergence is going to be alright?

Even though he/she has 1D he/she also has A’s and B’s

which will balance GPA to be around 3.0-3.2?

Yeah, he’ll be fine. They will still send the letter because of the D, but I’d be very surprised if he gets booted.

what bout F’s?

There’s no F in revoked. But don’t get a F, because chances are you will get your admission revoked unless you can prove extenuating circumstances (i.e. death in family, major injury to yourself, teacher goes AWOL on students, or something ridiculous).

So don’t get a F.

The same goes for a D. If your response to the letter is “I decided to slack senior spring” you will most likely have admission revoked.

Is statistics a core class or an elective based on Michigan standards (Ap stats)

Core - Math Class

Regardless of core or elective course, UMich will be likely to revoke on a D or F.

I told my admission counselor and she said that she added on my file that I was sick and I missed a lot of school, which was true.

I’m getting a D because we had two tests the entire second semester. I failed one test and my second test wasn’t enough to bring my grades up. I couldn’ do much because its an AP class and most of the semester was then spent reviewing for the AP, ie: no points, no chance to make up my grade.

shiiiiii

is 4 years of math required for michigan?

nope, three years. I talked to my counselor and she said I should be “fine.”

crosses fingers…

i guess that means I can get a D or F and if i explain my situation ill be okay
