Will I lose my financial aid??

Summary: Committed to Hopkins, haven’t sent in my IDOC, will I lose my scholarship?
Details:
Yesterday I committed to Johns Hopkins, partly because of my 15,000 per year Bloomberg scholarship.

I turned in FAFSA, CSS, and my noncustodial parent forms on time,
But I realized JUST TODAY that I need to send in my IDOC packet! Yes, it’s my fault and if they pull the scholarship from me, I’m guilty. I am putting IDOC together as quickly as possible, but it won’t be mailed till Monday.

From Hopkins website: “If you are unable to submit a complete packet of required documents to IDOC by the deadline [May 1st], please submit the packet as soon as possible thereafter. Should you be accepted to Johns Hopkins University and we have received the CSS Profile and FAFSA (and the CSS Business/Farm Supplement and/or Non-Custodial Parent Supplement, if required) and we have not received the packet from IDOC, we will provide an estimate of financial aid in your admission packet. We will finalize the award upon receipt of the IDOC packet with the tax returns.” [JHU Student Financial Services | Prospective Students | Freshman & Transfers | How to Apply](<a href=“Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University”>Student Financial Support | Johns Hopkins University)

As far as I know, everything entered in CSS and FAFSA is correct. So if Hopkins gets the IDOC info sometime this week, and it checks out with what I sent to them, will I be ok for the scholarship? Has anyone else turned in parts of their financial aid late and been ok?

I am calling the office on Monday to check in. I’m just stressing big time :frowning: … thanks for any help or advice

You’ll be ok. We sent IDOC very late last year because we filed income taxes late and it was not a problem. I suppose if there was a big discrepancy in the income reported the amount awarded could be reduced when they get the full IDOC packet…

just do it as fast as possible!

thanks for the replies…the packet was sent out in today’s mail. I’ll post back here when i hear back from them, so that future generations will know for sure if it’s okay to be a little bit late on IDOC :)
