Will I need to pay Financial Aid if professor dropped me?

Im currently attending a community college. I have missed twice to class and my professor just dropped me today. My question is, will I need to pay financial aid because of this incident??? (Im receiving pell grant and cal grant)

It’s possible. You would need to check with your school. The rules can be quite complex - based on what % of classes you have completed and how much of your aid you have “earned”. If you fall short of having earned the required %, then you may have to repay some aid.

Can you get added back into the class? Are you sure that you only missed two classes? Profs don’t usually drop students for only missing two classes.

Mom2…it would depend on the class. DH took a couple of CC classes that met ONCE weekly for 4 hours on a Saturday. Two absences would not have been allowed and the grade would have been affected.

If the student missed the first TWO of such a class, the prof might have deemed him a no show and dropped him.

OP, Swimcatsmom gave you the right advice.

thank you all, i will be speaking with my financial aid advisor soon just to double check.
