Will IB help?

I am a 9th grader in Florida, I am currently in the Pre-IB program at my school, this allows me extra points towards my GPA(3.8), Do the schools take into account that IB adds GPA points?
I am applying to Exeter, Westminster, Deerfield, Berkshire, and Cheshire.

Even the largest prep schools, like Exeter, are small enough to consider the applicant as a whole. They will undoubtedly consider the rigor of your current curriculum, along with grades, board scores, extracurricular interests, and your personal interview. I don’t know whether any of those schools have IB programs, though, and so they would probably just consider pre-IB as comparable to any other Honors track. I don’t know if they’ll “weigh” GPA’s either. Many prep schools actually avoid things like weighing and class rankings, because they consider all their classes of “Honors” caliber and rigor.
