I’m already taking AP Lang, AP Bio, AP Psych, AP Calc, and Latin 4. Also going to do orchestra, but I’m still going to have a free class period that would normally be an elective block. The thing is, none of the electives sound interesting and I’ve already done the ones that were mildly intriguing over the past 3 years.
will my lack of electives look bad to colleges?
Not if you use the free time to do something interesting. My friends son connected with a distracted driving anti texting and driving org. Helped have organization put together an all students presentation and brought the information to several other schools. The whole thing was a huge hit with his college admissions. And for a great cause.
Happykid did classroom volunteer work helping one of her favorite teachers one period a day, and completed an independent study in another period. Is anything like that available at your school?
I don’t think it matters…but this is a way to take a free class. Like if you took photography, you get a free photography class…or cooking…or whatever.
