Will most of the people who are ultimately accepted receive "likely" letters?

<p>I don’t think so…as far as I know “likely letters” are reserved for recruited athletes, although I have heard of some rare occassions of other people recieving them.</p>

<p>In all my time on CC, I’ve only heard of one person getting one. I didn’t get one. I got in.</p>

<p>Okay nevermind, I just went to another post and like twenty-five people had likely letters. But I still wouldn’t worry about it.</p>

<p>as far as i know, not THAT many schools send out likely letters. but i think if you get a letter you’ll probably get in, whereas not getting one in no way means that you won’t get in.</p>

<p>I’ve pretty much just heard of some minorities getting them. And yeah, maybe athletes too.</p>

<p>yeah, i’m a minority and my letter was from the office of African American recruitment or something.</p>
