Hi! Don’t worry about your AP scores. Most colleges don’t even take them into consideration. Your SAT II scores are decent, but they might hurt your chances for the more competitive schools you’re applying to. You’re an incoming senior, so why not retake some of them in October?

Good luck! I’m entering Northwestern this year and I’m really excited for it.

Raise your USH and Math SAT scores. Especially the Math… you want at least a 750+ for competitive schools.

Actually, I don’t think SAT II scores are a dealbreaker at all; I scored only 690 on my Math Level II and 700 on USH (although an 800 on Bio), but I was able to get into all but one of the schools I applied to. A 750+ on Math II is not necessarily needed to get into a competitive school, so don’t fret too much about it. It might help to retake/take a test in a subject that you’re confident about so you can have one slightly stronger score, but that’s all I would suggest.

As long as you have decent academics, essays, and recs, I don’t think you’d be turned down because you had difficulty with SAT-IIs and APs. Your SAT and ACT scores are just fine, so I think you’d still have a chance! It depends on the whole package, imo.

Omg how did you get a 2300, but you got 2020 SATII…

I have opposite problem, 2230 SAT1, 2400SATII

thanks everyone
does anyone know if I’m required to show all my AP and SAT II scores?

well the SAT math was pretty easy, so I assumed the same for SAT II but it covered a lot of material that i didn’t expect haha

so will I have to retake the SAT II math by september for early action? or can i take it in october so i can actually prep this time?

I don’t think i will retake US History, I already forgot most of it since i took the class sophomore year. I want to major in Business Administration, should I take the SAT II english?

No, definitely not.

You also don’t have to show all your AP and SAT II scores. The AP Scores aren’t required and you can cancel some of the scores for a fee, but keep in mind the colleges will see that you took an AP class and would like to have seen that you took the AP test as well. For most colleges YOU choose which SAT II’s to send, so you only have to send the ones that you feel are the best.

There’s no september test date unfortunately, the first one this school year is October 1st, so study up! Good luck.

If I am applying ED to UPenn, should I not show my AP scores?

Don’t send in your spanish sat ii, and if you’re a native speaker in Chinese, don’t send that in too. Other than that, yes you’re AP scores are mediocre, but if there were a part of your application that was going to be mediocre and have the least effect, it would be this part.

if anything, you should add more schools to your list. hopefully you’re in state for ohio state as a cheap option, but your chances are slim to none for the other schools.

im also applying for case western, notre dame, emory, chicago

based on my stats, what would you recommend?
