I got inot Cornell engineering ED, and I might get a C and C+ second semester. I have B’s in both calsses overall, but I am freaking out. Will Cornell rescind my admission!? Please helpppp
If your final grade is a B, I don’t anticipate a problem

No, not even for a C or two. Just no D’s and F’s. Do your best, which I’m sure is very good. It will be okay.

What conditions regarding grades in in-progress courses does your admission letter give?
I highly doubt it. Generally something very drastic has to change for a college to rescind acceptance, like going from straight As to failing all your courses, or getting an arrest or something, One C or even two likely won’t be enough to undo an acceptance. Just do your best in your courses and try not to worry about your offer being rescinded; it is much less common than people realize. As hard as this is to do, just worry about what you have control over, which is your grades. Congrats on Cornell!
lol. Personal anecdote so take it with a grain of salt — I actually had something similar and got a C+ in BC calc my second semester of senior year. They sent me something in the mail warning me to keep my grades up while at Cornell and that they were disappointed but no actual action was taken. I had to meet with an academic counselor my first few weeks on campus and that was the first and last time I saw them. They laughed it off as a non-issue
