I never took a foreign language in high school. I’m a current junior, and I’m enrolled to take spanish at a local college for the summer semester and fall semester immediately coming up. I want to apply to universities, with my top choice being Azusa Pacific. Will taking spanish at the college be enough to satisfy a uni’s preference for foreign language? or will it not be taken into consideration at all and I’ll just be deficient?
Thank you to any and all help!
That should be fine as long as the college course is a regular class and not an uncredited “extension” program. If you’re not sure, contact the local college and ask. Many high school students take college classes because of scheduling or course availability issues with their high schools.
Thank you so much! This helps a lot.
Usually a one semester course in college is equivalent to one level year in high school.
