<p>Ok, last semester in my fafsa, I put that I will be living in the dorms but got no financial aid for it. Instead they only gave me 85% of what I need to pay for my tuition, then my family paid the balance of the tuition. My dad and mom were working at the time. But this year, my mom stopped working. Also my efc last semester was 8503. With my mom not working and collecting disability help factor in to increase my financial aid, in other words pay for my dorm and/or tuition?</p>
<p>FAFSA is an annual application, so EFC is per year and not per semester. No one here can tell you what your EFC for next year will be based upon what you’ve posted. If your mom’s income was drastically reduced for 2010, it’s possible you would be Pell eligible for next year. But they may reduce other grants to offset that. Depending on what type of disability income your mom has, that may or may not be reported on FAFSA.</p>
<p>You need to file the 11/12 FAFSA and get your EFC from that to know if you’ll be eligible for additional aid.</p>
