Will my UCM acceptance get taken away if I got 3 Ds senior year?

I applied to 12 colleges… all CSUS and UCS. Ive been rejected from CSUSM, CSULB, and CSULA. Ive been accepted into UC Merced and it’s probably the only college Im getting accepted to. I had a 3.5 gpa last year but now its 2.9 since I got 3 Ds and 1 c my first semester of senior year. Will my acceptance get rescinded/ taken away ??? The classes were all AP except for 1. Please be honest I am freaking out because I cant go to community college

Well, first off all, you have to report your score to UCM and explain your situation i assumed. And let hope for the best

What did your provisional contract state for UCM to maintain your acceptance? Which courses are you getting a D? I am sorry, but you should be worried. Rule of Thumb, no D’s or F’s Senior year. Contact UCM and see what your options are at this point. Better to know now then after May 1 when you might not have any choices.

something doesn’t add up… there are very few circumstances where San Marcos would be more selective than Merced… Anyhow, to answer your question… yes, they probably will pull your admission. You need to call them and let them know what’s up. They MAY give you some options to re-mediate your situation and preserve your seat. They may not… either way, I agree, it is better to know now while you can make alternate plans.

This is from the UC Merced website and conditions of admission:

Conditions of Admissions for Freshman Applicants are (Conditions of Admission are posted on your student portal):

· Maintain eligibility. Complete all courses you indicated as “in progress” or “planned” with grades of C or better. If you receive a D, F, W, NP or NC grade, you must notify the Office of Admissions immediately by completing the “myCourseUpdate” form in your student portal.

· Notify the Office of Admissions immediately by email of any changes in the planned coursework indicated on your application (specifically, adding or withdrawing from any courses or enrolling in a college other than previously indicated). Please note: We strongly discourage you from changing your schedule.

· Notify the Office of Admissions immediately if you earned a grade below C in any of your senior year courses by posting them to “myCourseUpdate” in your student portal. One D or F grade in your senior year may cause you to be ineligible for the University of California, and you are obligated to report this grade to UC Merced immediately.

All the UC’s and CSU’s will similar conditions of admission. I suggest you apply to a community college as a backup until you find out your options. A CC might be your only choice to get into your preferred school(s)

California community colleges are actually very good as a rule. And they are much more affordable than CSUs or UCs. Don’t rule them out as a viable option.

CC’s are very good in California and tend to offer quite a few classes. You’re lucky that’s your state as many other states don’t have the same opportunities.

I don’t know under what circumstances someone would get into UCM but not csula and csusm - I’m guessing a difference in index calculation - but basically your only choice is to report the D’s and hope they give you a way to remediate them. Having B’s this semester would go a long way toward helping your case.

What’s your budget? What’s your GPA (weighted, unweighted) and your sat score?
There are still colleges accepting applications but they’d be either OOS publics or privates.

Yes, What they all said^^^^^
One D may slide, but 3 D’s??? I agree that the CC’s are a great option!
