From Newark International Airport to Princeton?
If not, any suggestions on how to get to campus from Newark? Greyhound?

Can the problem be avoided?

Could the student fly to Philadelphia, take a SEPTA train to Trenton, and take a taxi from Trenton to Princeton (if the NJ Transit trains aren’t running by then).

Both the Philadelphia airport and SEPTA seem to be in pretty good shape already and will probably be in even better shape by Saturday. [Home Page](PHL Philadelphia International Airport | PHL.org) [SEPTA | Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority](http://www.septa.org)

unclear. The issue is the NJT operations center was (is?) flooded.

There are shuttle van services from Newark to Princeton. About $30 a ride. Just Google “Princeton shuttle”

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Shuttle seems like a good idea but they are saying the service may not be available Sat.

You might want to call the college. They may have anticipated this situation and might have advice for you.

One more thought: If your student’s alternate travel plans turn out to involve Amtrak (which is running all the way up to Newark from the South and has a stop in Trenton), order the ticket online right away. Amtrak jacks up its prices as you get closer to train time, especially in the last 24 hours before the train leaves.

In general, I think that if transit from Newark to Princeton is uncertain, you’re better off getting your student to Trenton rather than Newark, by whatever means. The cost of a taxi from Newark to Princeton is prohibitive. The cost of a taxi from Trenton to Princeton isn’t.

But first see whether the college has made arrangements to get students from Newark Airport to Princeton. If they could recruit volunteer drivers, it might be possible for them to help.

I just booked a car to pick my daughter up at the Newark airport on Sunday. None of the shuttle services answered the phone. I called the car service listed on Princeton’s home page. The fare they quoted is $115, and 3 can share the car for that price. I was getting worried about the options. We’ve used Olympic Airporter shuttle in the past. If you can get through to them, it is less expensive, around $30 I think.

NJ Transit resumed train service from NYC to Trenton. Which stops at EWR and Princeton Junction. No Dinky service. University will have shuttle from PJ to Princeton.
Here is the schedule, not sure if weekend is the same as weekdays.
