Will not taking an AP exam deeply affect my chances of getting into college?

I am a junior taking AP Chemistry, AP English Language, and AP US History. AP Chemistry and AP English Language are fine, however, History is giving me multiple problems.
First of all, history has never been my fort

“The grade you receive in her class is completely inaccurate because she LOSES half of the assignments and even TESTS that you do for her, so on our final report cards, we were all graded based on about half of the assignments we’ve turned in.”

This may be something worth discussing with your guidance counselor. If your high school has a grading policy, whereby teachers are responsible to enter grades into the database within a certain time frame, perhaps she needs an assistant to help her keep up with that.

That she forgets in the middle of class is also concerning. She may have some health issue going on. Again, that is a point of concern to take to your guidance counselor.

If your high school doesn’t require that you take the exam, you don’t have to do so. When you apply to college you will self-report the AP exam results that you think are “good enough” for the places that you apply to unless they specifically require that you report all AP results. Once you are accepted somewhere and enroll, if your college or university does award advanced placement or credit for AP results, you will have the records sent and the registrar’s office will do its thing. No one will care if you have a 1 or 2 at that point.
