Will older sibling rejection affect younger sibling chances

My oldest child is a college freshman and considering a transfer to a top tier school (Notre Dame or Cornell). She is a straight A student with a 1520 SAT score, and is not happy with her current choice. She was originally rejected from Notre Dame and did not apply to Cornell. My younger child is at the top of his class and is considering applying to both these schools next year. His abilities lead me to believe that he has a good chance at a top school. Will his sisters rejection, whether it be as a freshman or transfer, impact the younger sibling’s chances.

No
