<p>Not really. Scholarships are given out mostly based on merit. The OOS ones also consider demographics (male/female, ethnicity, state you’re from, etc.) But your ECs aren’t really part of the scholarship criteria, that’s more for admissions.</p>

<p>Also, the fact that you heard back mid-December means that, by that point, most of the big scholarships were already gone (aka full-tuition). Those tend to be mostly gone by November or December. Half tuition runs for a few months (until February or early March) and then that’s normally it I think.</p>
