Current Freshman soon to be Sophomore at a CC in northern Michigan. GPA of 3.94 (will likely be hovering around 3.98 by the time applications go out). 34 ACT. Significant involvement with a local non profit women’s resource center. Staff writer for my campus newspaper. Working with one of my professors to start a debate/panel discussion student organization by the beginning of next year. I’m aiming for the very top with transfer prospects (Yale, Columbia, Princeton, Penn, MIT, Duke, Northwestern, etc.) and I’m reasonably confident in my chances. However I’m wondering if SAT II tests will make my chances any stronger. I know 1st year admits at elite colleges typically have to submit these test scores, but I don’t hear much about transfer students submitting them. I’m actually not even certain if any schools would even look at them. I’m pretty confident that I could make around 750+ on the Chem and World History exams, and it seems to me like any reflection of your knowledge/learnedness could only benefit your chances. Thoughts?
