Will Spanish ruin my chances?

Hello guys, I’m a freshman and I’m taking all honors classes and ap human geo. But the thing is I am going to have to drop honors Spanish. I just can’t do it and the extra grade point won’t help enough to make it worth while. I just can’t do it anymore after my concussion, it’s even more of a foreign language than before.will this ruin my chances of my dream school Stanford?
I’m at a really competitive school, I plan to take all aps/ honors except Spanish, is the top 10%still viable? Any help is appreciated.

So taking that you’re a freshman, are you saying that you won’t be taking Spanish at all during high school, or any language class at all for that matter? If so, it could be trouble. Many top schools generally want anywhere from 2-4 years of language, but usually towards the 4 end. Not taking it at all may put you at a disadvantage.

Now, regarding your concussion. The symptoms are just temporary right? Assuming thats true, it won’t be an excuse for not taking Spanish.

My advice is to take Spanish instead of AP Human Geo. Honestly, you don’t need an AP freshman year, and Human Geo is probably the most BS AP class ever, and it won’t impress.

Also, top 10% will be viable whether you take Spanish or not.

Sorry I’m not speaking clearly but I have post concussive syndrome (had it for over a year so probably permanent). I’m taking Spanish 3 so it will just be Spanish 3, just not honors.
