<p>I have got interview invitations from Stanford Bioscience and Janelia Farm. Since the travel schedule overlaps with the registeration dates of my current university, my dean says there is a risk that I will not get my B.S. degree due to absense at the beginning of a semester…</p>
<p>It would be quite ironic if I passed the interview and got rejected because of the degree problem. Does anyone has any idea about policies concerning this?</p>
<p>Very unlikely (I would simply say no, but I don’t actually work there, so I can’t be 100% absolutely sure). You should speak with your dean and figure out how you can get around the issue. Your dean should be able to make things work. If not, have him call the schools in question and work something out.</p>
<p>If you’re accepted into a graduate program it is usually on the condition that you finish your degree before you enroll. You can still finish your degree in the summer if you like, but you will need to have a B.S. by the time you get there.</p>
