Will starting an art related fundraiser for a children's charity help my Ivy application?

I have been an art student since middle school - I took it for my GCSEs and now for IB too. I am a junior in high school right now.

It doesn’t stand out from many activities that other students do.

Perhaps you can find some already established organizations that do something similar that might love to have your skills and ideas in a volunteer role?

In addition, it often appears that the applicant is following the paint-by-numbers approach to college admissions. Start a charity. Check. Have 100K subscribers to my YouTube channel. Check.

AOs also tend to roll eyes at fundraisers that may have been augments by parental cash.

If there is truly a need, that’s a different story, and one that requires a thought-out business plan.
