Will taking both tests worsen my chances for admission? HELP

Hello,

I am from Germany and I’m not really sure what to do in my current situation.
I have registered for both the SAT and ACT (May and Juni, respectively) and I’m thinking about changing the SAT to an SAT Subject test.
Various internet blogs say that it’s better to concentrate on one test but this will be my only chance to take the tests. What if I don’t take the SAT and mess up the ACT? :frowning:
On the other hand, I’m wondering what happens when i take both tests and an additional SAT Subject test. Can I only send the Subject test score or will they inevitably see my SAT score as well. I am kind of lost here :frowning:

It depends on what schools you are applying to. A few top schools ask that you send all scores. Most others do not. If you use score choice (pay to send your scores later, once you know what they are), you have the option to not send all of them.
