<p>Will The North Face Heckler backpack hold my 17-inch laptop? It’s a Sony Vaio 17-inch, to be exact.</p>

<p>I need a backpack for college that will fit my laptop. I’m looking into either the Heckler or the Borealis. But my research on the internet is giving me conflicted answers.</p>

<p>Does anyone own the Heckler or the Borealis? Can you fit your 17-inch laptop in it?</p>

<p>From the looks of it, your 17’’ may be a tight fit.</p>

<p>I always buy a bag that’s bigger than the laptop to make sure it fits. I’d say it’d be a tight fit, but it should work. Sorry I don’t have a 17" laptop, though.</p>

<p>Are those backpacks specifically labeled as <em>laptop</em> backpacks? If so then it will say the size i.e. 15.4 in or 17 in. (not in the backpack dimensions). If it isn’t labeled such, I wouldn’t go with it… you need an actual laptop backpack to protect it while you’re moving, especially cheaply made sony’s and hp’s.</p>

<p>The website says the Heckler will only hold laptops up to 15", but the Borealis should hold your 17".</p>

<p>I agree with hikids- the websites almost always give that information.</p>
