Will the Peer Evaluation actually help?

I was wondering if any one has any legitimate experience with their peer evaluation actually helping their application?

I’m aware that it will depend on the content and how well the evaluator knows the applicant but I was just wondering if there are people who have had positive experiences with the peer evaluation option.

Feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you! :)

I sent one and I got in. That’s all anybody can tell you. Nobody knows how much it helps (if at all).

compares to a recommendation from a teacher, but it matters less or more depending on who it comes from.

thank you!
Ballinallday, I was looking at the tips for the Duke App on their website and found that they would rather have peers of similar age write the evaluation so I’m not sure if it matters more or less.
bump?
I heard not many people do the peer eval…

I don’t know how many people do or don’t use the peer eval, but like dd1993, I sent one and got in.

Were all your evals from people close in age with you? It says parents or relatives on there too but I feel slightly uncomfortable having my parents write it. Keep trying to tell them it’s better to have a peer student write it, correct?
