I am a sophomore and I got a bunch of 96s in my classes. Basically, I was on the edge of an A+ in many of them, but i went down because my finals were not the very best. These classes are all honors, except for one AP class. I only got an A+ in Honors French… LOL…
Does this ruin my chances for Princeton?! GPA is based on letter grade, not percentages, right? AH
I’ll answer assuming this isn’t a troll.
No. Most kids we talked to at Princeton events had all As and maybe B, or two. Very few had perfect ACTs or SATs. Most had very high grades and scores, but a 96 is great, relax.
Most schools don’t have a grade of A+, an A is as high as you can go (as it should be, IMO). For that reason, most colleges will view an A+ as an A, so no, you did not ruin your chances. LOL.
Being obsessed with grades, especially obsessing over A vs A+ grades, might ruin your chances.
@CheddarcheeseMN @skieurope @psywar Thanks! I will keep that in mind. I don’t always want to focus so much on the number and letter grade, although it is important. I will just try my best
