<p>I got straight A’s for Mid-year reports. Is my chances slightly better now?</p>

<p>Chances are better, but it can’t make up for a 3.3 GPA or below-par test scores. Being a chess champion will help a lot, but no one really knows to what extent except for the readers of applications.</p>
