According to Dean J’s blog, “For the ACT, we see the best composite score and the subscores related to that best composite score (we do not recombine ACT subscores to come up with a new composite).”
(<a href=“Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Thoughts after a week on the road”>http://uvaapplication.blogspot.com/2009/10/thoughts-after-week-on-road.html)

So, does that mean they won’t see my other scores?
My two ACT’s are as follows:

28 C – 25 E, 28 R, 30 M, 30 S
32 C – 32 E, 24 R, 36 M, 36 S

Obviously the 28 is way worse, but my reading score with the 32 is pretty bad. If the school can only see the subscores associated with the 32 composite, then does that mean they won’t see my 28 in reading? That they’ll assume my best reading is a 24, when in reality, that was just a fluke?

I plan on taking the ACT again, and what if I get a 36 on reading, but still a lower composite score? UVa will not know about this 36 according to Dean J, right? Or, what if I get a 33 composite, with a 33 on each section? Then my 36 in math and science just goes away? How is this fair?
