Hi there,

Im thinking about studying at Upenn but Im in a quite difficult situation because I live in a small village that contains perhaps 1500 citizens so I have no possibilities to get involved into some kind of organizations or Volunteer Service. Does it pick up all my admission chances? Education system in my country is quite different… our schools does not rank students, the way of calculating gpa is also not the same as yours, my school also does not offer any extracurricular activities. American students have really amazing achievements and I am aware that I won’t measure up to them but I try not to give and do my best. For example I create math and computing club in my school what is more I lead the basketball school team, I got involved into some researches. I entered for the science classes at the technical university but its about 100 km away from my home so i don’t know if I can get there. If I achieve sat scores as good as other students will university take my situation under consideration and give me a chance to study there?
