<p>i’ve been having this crazy and probably incorrect thought that i’ve been rescinded. why? </p>
<p>well, basically, i’ve requested for and have been granted a one-year gap year, so i’ve deferred my enrolment from this year till next year. but i’ve not received my Princeton ID and email! my Stanford friend who deferred his enrolment by TWO years already got his Stanford email. the worst thing is, my two emails to the Princeton admissions office asking about my Princeton email both went unanswered. why are they ignoring me? have i been rescinded?</p>
<p>Try a phone call: they are quite friendly and helpful. A couple of emails that I’ve made to Princeton (and really to most other organizations) go unanswered for weeks.</p>
<p>Princeton (or any school for that matter) will definitely let you know if you’ve been rescinded. I think they just don’t give you your email account until next spring.</p>
<p>i called them and yeah, i won’t get it till next spring. turns out that stanford gives out email accounts along with their acceptance packages, and all admitted students get them even before they reply to the offers. :P</p>
