Will this article improve my chances?

[Talent scouts — The Harvard University Gazette](http://www.hno.harvard.edu/gazette/2007/12.06/99-admissions.html)

By pure coincidence, I got introduced to a photographer and a writer for the Harvard Gazette. They were writing an article about the school scouting certain areas of the country. I was one of the students they interviewed and they also took a look around my school. My stuff in the article is from the 6th paragraph from the end to the 4th paragraph from the end.

lol nice. I doubt it will help since the admission officers probably won’t know this, but hey who knows?

“he is also the world’s eighth-ranked player in Guitar Hero” –> this is pretty pro btw

Well the article IS about admissions so I think they would read it. Also, I emailed the writer and asked if I should send a copy of the article along with my application, and he said that they would most likely read it anyway.

Haha, they got so much stuff wrong in there (all for the better). I’m not complaining. :P

How are you a national merit finalist already?? Or is that a mistake?

Who knows what my counselor said to the people…

Living in West Virginia is a probably semi-hook in itself (geographic diversity).

I think the most impressive part of you application is your guitar hero skills…lol
It really sets you apart from all the other 22, 000 people that apply.
