Yesterday, I accidentally dropped my class, Math 16A, when I was trying to arrange my schedule around. I checked schedule.berkeley.edu beforehand to make sure there are still open spaces, and it says there are still 176 seats available. When I tried to get it back, it says that the class is full, and I was forced to put myself on the waitlist.
Will this mistake be a fatal mistake (in the sense that I won’t be able to take this class anymore?) I am currently 71st on the waitlist, and there are 176 seats still available. I was told that math classes are usually lenient and tries to accommodate as many students as possible, so should i be safe?

Any advice would help out a lot. Thank you.
