Will this be fatal?

<p>Yesterday, I accidentally dropped my class, Math 16A, when I was trying to arrange my schedule around. I checked schedule.berkeley.edu beforehand to make sure there are still open spaces, and it says there are still 176 seats available. When I tried to get it back, it says that the class is full, and I was forced to put myself on the waitlist.
Will this mistake be a fatal mistake (in the sense that I won’t be able to take this class anymore?) I am currently 71st on the waitlist, and there are 176 seats still available. I was told that math classes are usually lenient and tries to accommodate as many students as possible, so should i be safe?</p>

<p>I think you’re safe. Math 16A is pretty easy to get into typically and since you’re 71 waitlist out of 176 seats, you should get it.</p>

<p>but the problem is there’s not enough discussion seats for you. so it’s fatal!!</p>

<p>I didn’t see that at first, but I just checked online, & assuming that you’re want the 2 class on MWF 10-11, there are currently 3 sections not open yet. So, if you get into the class and there’s no sections currently, then those will open up and they make try to accommodate you so you don’t get left out of the class if you get the lecture.</p>

But just so I understand it a bit better, chances are that I WILL get into the class right? As in both lecture and discussion, since there are still sections that haven’t been opened yet? I mean, this isn’t fatal as 8888888 stated is it?</p>
