Harvard [or: Insert Prestigious U here] Graduate is Now the Sanitation Man

There has been some talk about how the different admission system between Asia and the US make the distinction on how graduates from prestigious colleges are looked on, and there’s an evidence:

Chinese newspapers has twice widely publicized Peking University (along with its neighbour Tsinghua the most prestigious colleges in China) graduates were found in lowly jobs.

The first time was about an early 80’s Peking graduate-- graduate at a time when there are few colege graduates-- ended up as a butcher in Xi’an due to multiple layoffs.

Then the second time we have a fresh graduate (2005) who found himself making fruit snacks at the family-owned stall.

So, you see the type of college brand-name recognition in Asia…!
