<p>Yes, this will definitely reflect positively on you, especially if you are planning to major in English/Creative Writing. Will it make up for sub-par academics? Probably not.</p>
<p>Well I’m not a bad student. I take all AP/Honors and get good grades. And my SAT score was above JMU’s mean. I just didn’t know if I had a “hook”.</p>
<p>Just realized I messed up in my question: James Madison University is my first choice school, but I’m sure anyone who reads this could figure that out without me specifying.</p>
