I have 4 international academic distinctions, but there is one last slot left. I took part in an international competition and I was literally 1 mark less than the required amount for the distinction certificate. Unfortunately, if you don’t get distinction you don’t get any other form of merit but my teacher said I can still put it in my application and she will corroborate it if necessary.

I am wondering how it will look if I were to put “1 mark off distinction in international maths competition” as my last academic honor/distinction when I am applying to many ivy leagues?

Thanks a lot!
