I’m applying ED to PTon and I’m specifying engineering on my app…
But I just took the SAT IIC and only answered 36 questions- so I probably got like a 690 and hopefully a 700.
Regardless I took AP Calc AB as a sophomore with an A in the class and a 4 on the AP. I then took a year abroad and am now taking BC with an A in the class.
What should I do- Should I cancel the score and retake in Nov., should I keep the score, or should I just cancel and take another SAT II?
Will they care if I get a bad IIC score even if I have these other things to illustrate my math ability? Also, I’m applying from NY… if that makes a difference…

Isn’t it true that if you cancel an SAT 2 score, you have to cancel all of them from the same date? That might be something you want to think about if you took more than one. I also have another question. Say you take the same SAT 2 twice. Will they only look at the higher of the two scores?

well- I only took one that day- so it doesnt matter and yes, they supposedly only look at the highest

Math IIC is considered very important for those applying to engineering programs.

if you have time to take it another time and you know you’ll do better then take it another time

Try to study/review/practice via a good prep book.
There are very differing opinions wrt Barron’s vs. Kaplan vs. PR,
Barron’s supposedly to be much harder than the actual IIC test but many who prepped through it did find it helpful.
