<p>Would declaring my interest in this path hurt my admissions for Pratt?</p>
<p>Please don’t just say that it won’t make the difference between acceptance/rejection; I’m a borderline candidate and need everything that I can get.</p>
<p>Hate to break it to you, but it probably won’t make a difference. People’s interests change, things happen. I can’t even begin to count how many people I know who dropped out of BME. Plus, the adcoms don’t really have that much of an interest in trying to balance the admits based on intended majors.</p>

<p>I’d say definitely indicate your interest. Even if you are judged as the stereotypical bme/econ guy, demonstrating a deep passion for certain subjects in your application would certainly outweigh any potential harm, not that I think there is any.</p>
