I’ve taken many AP/college classes (11 to be exact) and the rest being honors courses. I have a 3.6 UW and around a 4.1 Weighted. I have amazing college recs/essyas and i got a 1980 on the SATs (750 M, 630 R, 600 W) along with many EC’s but i got a 78 on my first semester this year of AP Calculus. My grade will improve and eventually become a B- or higher, but GW won’t see that. How bad is this?? I also want to be a stats/econ major so that doesn’t help.
Your major has no bearing on the admissions process, it is something you won’t have to declare until sophomore year. With that said, getting a 78 your first semester will also have little bearing on your application as a whole. Don’t worry too much about it.
