Will this precalculus curriculum prepare me well for Calc AB?

I’m taking an online math course for advancement, and they offer a separate Trig course and Precalc course. I really don’t want to take both (more costly, time consuming, and probably repetitive) so I was wondering if this precalc curriculum will help me do well in AP Calc AB next year. Also, some of the stuff in the curriculum I’ve already done in Alg. II (so I put them in parenthesis to indicate).

Curriculum:
(Relations and Functions)
(Polynomial and Rational Functions)
(Exponential and Logarithmic Functions)
Special Topics
Systems of Equations and Matrices
The Trigonometric Functions
Trigonometric Identities
Applications of Trigonometry
Topics in Analytic Geometry
Limits

Thanks in advance!

Honestly they pretty much reteach everything in ab. A least that’s what my teacher did

@Keggin That’s probably because you have a different Precalculus curriculum than the one above.

@neophite Your work right now will prepare you for the first topic in the AB curriculum: “Functions, Graphs, and Limits”.

However, I can’t say the same for derivatives and integrals – they are new material. If you want more info on the course work, then check out the CB’s course description or webpage for AP Cal AB.

A standard Precalculus curriculum contains:

Function Analysis covered in Algebra 2
Trig Functions
Trig Identities, Inverse Trig Functions
Right Triangle Trig
Polar Coordinates, Complex Numbers (like DeMoivre’s Theorem), Vectors
Rotation of Conics
Parametric Equations

@Erikstotle what prior knowledge would I need for deritivites and integrates?

@neophyte it’s an entirely new concept, there is no prior knowledge of it unless you have taken a different calculus course
