<p>Obviously, going to top universities would give you some advantage in applying to medical schools but would transferring from a state university to another state university do anything? I know a few people who are transferring from one SUNY to another such as SUNY Binghamton and SUNY Geneseo. Would this at all help?</p>

<p>it might if you go to a SUNY with a med school…for instance the most highly represented school at Stony Brook med school is SUNY stony brook.</p>
