I got admitted into American Lit. and Culture, but I hate literature. Will UCLA let me switch to applied mathematics? I haven’t talked to any one from ucla about this yet.

Extra Info:
[The only pre-reqs I am missing are two physics courses and differential equations.
I’m also missing calc 3 and linear algebra, but I’ll have those done in 4 weeks.]

If this isn’t possible to do, then I’ll reapply in the fall.

Thanks.

Lol, why did you apply for American Lit if you hate literature??? I think they will let you switch (Applied Math isn’t impacted, right?).
Email the department and they’ll tell you if you can and what your next steps should be.

oke…thanks. I’ll email the math department.

better yet, don’t email, Call the department!

post in here what you find out, I’m admitted as a Math/Econ major and was considering switching to applied math.

Eric, I was told to submit a petition during orietation. They said they couldn’t guarantee that I would get into anything until then… bummer
