Will UT Austin match financial aid?

Hello,

I have received college admission to Univ. of Houston, UT Dallas and two other out of state colleges. I have also received admission at UT Austin with no financial aid. I have received substantial financial at all colleges except UT Austin.

What are the chances UT Austin will match the financial aid other colleges are rewarding. If so whom should I contact?
I know some friends contacted Rice University and they matched financial aid.

Rice is a private university that guarantees to meet full need. UT is a public university that doesn’t meet full need.

Sure…call and ask…but don’t hold your breath.

Not likely at UT Austin.

Were your other offers merit or need based? If they were merit it is unlikely UT will care, if they are need based you can at least ask them to recalculate your need.

Either way you can ask, you will be no worse off than you are now.
