<p>Is it better to buy a new laptop or keep my old desktop and save money?</p>
<p>My advice is to buy a very cheap laptop off of ebay and take your desktop with you as well. Laptops are usefull, but not worth the price when new.</p>
<p>Laptops won’t be necessary. They’re just more convenient at times.</p>
<p>Get a cheap NEW laptop–they go for as little as $500-$600 from the big retailers when they’re having sales. HP, Acer and Toshiba have models that will do most everything you need at that price. You have all summer to find a deal. Leave the desktop at home. They take up too much space and are a pain to lug up and down steps.</p>

<p>I would say both! Have a desktop in your room for homework and have your laptop for classes and for work outside of your room. It may be more expensive, but I see it as more convenient.</p>
