Also I am in North Carolina around 2-3 hours from W&M
Nothing regarding financial aid, but I got my acceptance letter a few days ago
I’m in.
W&M was my first choice as a freshman. Didn’t get in. Went to UVM as a classical civilization major. Realized I want to concentrate in archaeology within the major which they don’t have at UVM. Since my GPA is a 3.9, I decided to try again. Still waiting to hear from Cornell/Tulane/Vanderbilt but happy about W&M.
Got financial aid info on Wednesday - it was a nice surprise, more than I was hoping for.
I have to apply again to get into Mason, waiting on that decision now
@DigMayan I applied to Tulane for transfer and got in (early admission), and my brother goes there now. It’s a great school and if you have any questions I can ask my brother for you. He’s a neuroscience major, just finished sophomore year. I could not go to Tulane because they are so picky about credits that if I transferred I couldn’t graduate even close to on time
Thanks - still haven’t heard from Tulane but I have heard from Cornell - no and Vanderbilt - yes. Decision time!
Hi! A fellow 2020 Tribe Transfer here. If you too are wanting to meet other transfers and potentially find a roommate follow the instagram @williamandmarytransfers2020
Hey! Quick question, How many credits are you guys all transferring in with? 60 ish?
I was originally not considering transferring to W&M but now I am seriously considering it. I am in the processing of negotiating credits with the business school and it looks like I will have 50ish credits as a junior in the fall.
Is there a facebook group for transfers? I just followed the instagram mentioned above. Also, does anyone know what the housing situation is like? Are we going to be stuck in the moldiest rooms? Anyone class of 2022?
I’ve heard from other WM students that transfers are in Jefferson hall. The rooms themselves are OK but they had problems last year with flooding and construction right outside the building.
I’m thinking of living off campus even though it can be hard to find parking on campus. I had construction outside my dorm Spring 2020 (until we left) and it caused some serious sleep issues for me
@Kd6410 I think the only construction near Jefferson is just a garden and it is supposed to be finished in the fall. It is not heavy duty construction for a new building. I’d suggest considering living on campus as it is really part of the W&M experience and Jefferson has a nice location.
@IzzoOne I’m gonna have to think about it tbh. Even a little noise will wake me up. Sharing a bedroom with someone has not worked out well for me in the past. Even though I get along great with my current roommates almost everything keeps me awake. Ex. if my roommate stayed up doing homework on the computer, the typing would keep me awake. I can’t go through that for another two years.
I transferred Fall 2019 and the majority of transfers lived in DuPont, Richmond, and Randolph Complex with a few other transfers in some of the other dorms
